Double Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker narrowly missed out on a podium finish at the Asian Shooting Championship 2025, finishing fourth in the women’s 25m pistol final on Monday.
Bhaker scored 25 points, just four shy of Vietnam’s Thu Vinh Trinh, who clinched bronze with 29 points. Fellow Indian Esha Singh also reached the final, ending sixth with 18 points.

India dominated the junior women’s 25m pistol event, where Payal Khatri produced a brilliant comeback to clinch gold with 36 points.

The trio also bagged the team silver medal with a combined score of 1700, finishing behind South Korea and ahead of Kazakhstan.

India added a team bronze medal in the senior category, with Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh and Simranpreet Kaur Brar combining for 1749 points, behind China and South Korea.
